India that has not been visited
below a certain altitude. At Simlah [Shimla]
which is 7400 feet above the
sea, it has never been, but it
has visited Sabathoo [Sabathu], only 18
miles from Simlah, 4200 feet
above the sea. I think it likely
you may have an advantage
over us, that there will be
more time to grapple with the
disorder. Here fever is so rapid,
& the constitution generally so
much weaker, that there is
not a moment to lose...
