I lost my french cook
of cholera. He was
taken ill at 9 AM
& died by 8 PM. I
felt his pulse. I never
dreamt of catching
the disease. A week ago
one of my native servants
was attacked. He had
left the camp in the night
with the tents sent in
advance. He was ill
on the way, & our Doctor
